NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEVADA, TEXAS:

Section 1: The fees and use charges listed below are in addition to any other fees and use charges, which may exist in other ordinances. Payment of fees to the City is final. There is no refund of fees.

Section 2: In the event of a request for Annexation of six (6) or more acres, the applicant will pay the Annexation Fee listed below and schedule a meeting with the City of Nevada where overall intentions and concepts will be discussed. The City of Nevada will present the owner/developer with relevant ordinances, schedules, processes, procedures and fees as well as answer any questions pertinent to the annexation request.

Annexation Fee: Six (6) acres or more - $500 plus $10 per acre

Five (5) acres or less – no charge

Section 3: No review or approval of requested action shall be given by the staff, Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustments or City Council of the City of Nevada and no petition docketed unless and until a receipt is furnished showing that the fees provided for in this Ordinance have been paid.

Section 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as required by law and it is so ordained.
