WHEREAS, under the Texas Property Tax Code, section 26.09, on receipt of notice of the tax rate for the current year, the assessor for a taxing unit shall calculate the tax imposed on each property included on the appraisal roll for the unit; and

WHEREAS, under the Texas Property Tax Code, section 26.09, the tax assessor for the city is required to calculate and enter the amount of the tax in the appropriate roll and submit it to the governing body of the city for approval; and

WHEREAS, a statement summary of said 2006 Tax Roll is attached hereto as Exhibit "A"

Section 1. The 2006 Appraisal Roll, as submitted by the City Tax Assessor Collector and accepted by the City Council, is hereby accepted as the 2005 Tax Roll for the city of Nevada.

Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage.
