  2. Citizens to Speak Before the Council
      1. Janet Hargett – I was not aware there would be any cost involved in installing the electric meter at the Well House. If there is a cost can the city pick that up? I did not tell persons that donated, that’s where there money would go. Mayor Schell we understand that and I don’t think that will be a problem.
      2. Nancy Cooksy – NevadaFest has been postponed due to funds and construction at the well house.

      4. Discuss/Take Action – Request to reimburse NevadaFest Funds donated for property clean up 206 Kerens St. Nancy Cooksy head of the Beautification Program – The property next to the Well House there was a vacant mobile home on it, the city sent the owner a Notice of Violation in January of this year to clean up the property and remove the mobile home. Several extensions where given to try and work with the property owner to get it cleaned up, as of July not much progress was made the home was only half way torn down. Being that this is an elderly widowed lady I approached her and asked if we helped her clean up the property could we use it for NevadaFest? She said yes. So I pulled some volunteers for a couple of weekends and we completely cleared the old mobile home and brush. Not realizing how much was there to clear we spent up to $700 in dumpster fees, that pretty much exhausted our funds raised from the previous year and the property still is not completely cleared. I was hoping the city could help by covering all or part of this expense? No Motion.

  4. Old Business
      1. Discuss/Take Action – Request for Streetlights to be installed one in the 300 blk of Kerens. Mr. Barth motion to approve, Mrs. Stevenson second the motion, all in favor, aye, motion carried.

Mr. Renfro has submitted plans and is currently looking for a spec sheet and he and Mike Shea are going to work out the details for that, if the council is comfortable with that? Mr. Renfro, in order to get a set of engineered plans a soil test and a set of working plans with the spec sheets it will cost approximately $4000 that leaves you $2000 short. Mr. Stevenson motion to approve the additional funds of $2000 for a total of $4000, the plot plans as presented and Mike Shea to work with Paul on the spec sheets, Mrs. Stevenson second the motion, all in favor, aye, motion carried.
